Handcraft Your Health with the Ayurveda Ancestral Herbal Library
Taught by Acharya Shunya and Chef Sanjai
Re-connect with Divine Mother Nature
What we put in our own, as well as our loved ones’ bodies becomes an integral part of us. And yet, we often know so little about the healing qualities of the common foods, spices and herbs, that we use to prepare our meals every day.
Many of us, leading a modern lifestyle away from the elders in our families, often get isolated and miss out on their perfect home remedies for our colds and allergies, and the nourishing meals they cook with love and intention. We also miss out on receiving their wisdom, and knowing what it means to live in nature and benefit from her all-knowing, maternal embrace.
The Ayurveda Ancestral Herbal Library offers you the opportunity to open a doorway into a truly sacred experience of connecting with ancestral wisdom from Acharya Shunya’s long lineage of Ayurveda healers.

My grandfather and Guru, Baba, is the inspiration for our ancestral library. Baba was an extraordinary Ayurveda healer and spiritual teacher in Ayodhya, India, whose very presence soothed, comforted and gave hope to the many who sought his counsel. Baba enlivened my classroom with real life nature immersion. He taught me how to touch, smell and taste health by introducing me to Ayurveda’s super foods, healing spices and recipes, and led me on countless adventures through farms and forests full of magical herbs. We planted garden herbs and harvested fruits and flowers together. We cooked oils and balms and put together medicinal formulae that were distributed free of cost to all who sought Baba’s help and blessings.
And then, in my Baba’s classroom, all of nature became revealed to me, when he expounded upon the great old texts like Charaka Samhita that capture Mother Nature in her breathtaking magnificence, mind-blowing intelligence, entirety, and depth. A common natural and intelligent rhythm that binds all living creatures in its loving embrace was revealed to me.
It was clear that for awakening abiding health, this rhythm - physical, biological, emotional, and psychological, had to be upheld, no matter what.
I am delighted to now bring these teachings alive for you, with the support of Chef Sanjai, who shares his love of cooking inherited from his mother and grandmother, through our Ayurveda Ancestral Herbal Library.
